Laura Bernell (aka Leah Abramovitz) has been a professional writer, as well as a college English instructor, for 30 years. She enjoys writing on a variety of subjects and has published short stories and poetry as well as non-fiction for magazines and newspapers.

Laura has raised two wonderful twin sons, each of whom are now Public Interest Attorneys. She devotes most of her time now to teaching, writing, and enjoying a succession of wonderful canine companions.
